  This is the opening theme to my favorite anime in the world, One Punch Man. I love the high energy rock energy it has and I always want to do a little dance to it. The song describes the show’s protagonist, Saitama. Saitama is a ‘hero for fun’ who’s able to destroy any enemy with one punch, however, being able to take out his opponents so easily makes his life feel meaningless and dull. Saitama’s character is an interesting approach to the overpowered character trope, where instead of being cocky or arrogant, Saitama is depressed by his strength and yearns for a challenge. He’s still an incredibly funny and kind character and a lot of the show’s humor comes from his obliviousness and how easily he takes out opponents. I love him a lot. Anyway, The Hero is a really fun opening song for a really fun anime.

  So, Blue Lock Season 2 came out recently and as expected it’s kind of terrible 😭. The animation in the first season wasn’t that good, but it was passable. This season, however, the animation hit a new low and it looks awful. There’s no actual movement and it looks like it was edited on Capcut or something. The CGI looks bad as well 😭. However, the segments at the end of the show, Blue Lock Additional Time (which has a somewhat different animation style), are still really funny and enjoyable. I’ve also been able to recognize some of the kanji in the character’s names recently, which is cool. The terrible animation is so disappointing because Blue Lock is my second favorite manga of all time and I really wanted the anime to be good. Anyway, this additional time has Nagi Seishiro (my fourth favorite character in BL) and is very silly, so enjoy.
