今日から㋮王

So, I’ve been watching 今日から㋮王 (King From Now On) for like a year now. It’s pretty good but I just like watching it a handful of episodes at a time whenever I’m in the mood. It’s an early 2000s isekai about a young boy named Yuri who gets taken to an alternate magical world (through portals that open up whenever he’s near water), where he’s the all-powerful demon king and he has to learn about this land and how to prevent a war between the demons and the humans. It’s a pretty cute anime with pretty low stakes most of the time and the characters are cool. Since it came out in 2004, however, the animation is pretty bad, but I think that makes it charming. I feel I can understand the Japanese in this anime more easily than when I watch more modern animes (maybe because it’s for a younger audience and the script is pretty simple). I also earned the term 母上 from this anime from the character Wolfram, which is a super formal way of saying mother that I think sounds kinda cool. So yeah 😋
