DR. STONE IS ENDING 😭

 


So, the final season of Dr. Stone has started coming out and already has three episodes. Yayyyy. Yippeee!!!! It’s been really good so far. As always, I love watching the crew use science to create modern technology in the ‘Stone World’ and it’s really interesting to learn more about said technology. In this season, the characters are making a spaceship to go to the moon, so that’ll be crazy. The Japanese in the show isn’t too hard to understand so I can understand a bit without subtitles. Senku is also one of my favorite anime protagonists. He’s really blunt and funny, but still very caring. Check it out!

  Learning Japanese this semester has been super fun. I feel like I learned a lot of new concepts and I have way firmer grasps of the concepts I already learned from Duolingo (lol). Practicing hiragana, katakana, and kanji has all been really fun because I’ve always loved handwriting. It’s so awesome to be able to consumes Japanese media and understand it without translation as well. The classroom environment has been really fun and lively all semester and everyone’s been super nice. Reigen Arataka is the GOAT (and also a fraud but whatever)

  For this assignment, I rewatched my favorite episode (Season 1, episode 12) from my second favorite anime, Mob Psycho 100. In this absolutely peak episode, Mob (the incredibly powerful psychic protagonist), Reigen Arataka (his fake psychic mentor), and a band of other psychics work together to take down the Claw 7th Division (a group of psychics who wish to take over the world and rule over non-psychics), who kidnapped Mob’s brother, Ritsu. After defeating Claw’s lackeys, the group of psychics (plus Reigen) meet the heads of the Division and Mob prepares to fight them. However, Reigen steps in and refuses to let Mob fight, since Mob is only a child and shouldn't have to deal with that burden, especially since Reigen taught him that his powers shouldn’t be used to harm others. The relief Mob feels after Reigen takes responsibility for their safety is so great that Mob temporarily transfers all his power to Reigen, who easily defeats Claw. Fujii Kaze My Beloved

 So, this is the incredibly talented Fujii Kaze singing his amazing song, Shinunoga Ii-wa. This performance is beautiful and his vocals and the instrumental are just so perfect together. The piano solo in the beginning and the drums are amazingggg. I found this song through TikTok like two years ago and obsessively listened to it for like a week straight. I also really like the lyrics. Fujii is singing about loving someone so much he’d rather die than not be with them (even saying he’d starve to be with her). I think the possessive and kind of creepy undertones of the song are really cool and he performs it in a way you can feel his obsession. He’s tooooo good.
